The charts here track some of the North Metro Atlanta cities from the time the rise of interest rates began showing up in the market statistics that a correction was beginning to occur in the market towards the end of April of 2022. We update these charts weekly so you can get a clear understanding of what the leading indicators show as happening in the current market.
Historic Active and Sold Charts
This chart shows the total number of listings entered and the total number of sales going back to January of 2012 when we began to come out of the great recession and the only housing crash we've ever seen. Of note is the difference between the two lines. As they converged beginning at the same time as the COVID lockdown in April of 2020 and we had less inventory, the hyper seller market began.
